How To Choose Your Wedding Theme
After you have made a successful marriage proposal, you should start planning for the big day, and choosing wedding theme is one of the first things to do.
Choosing Theme
Choosing your wedding theme is an important first step to make when planning a wedding. Choosing the wedding theme will also make you easier to prepare and coordinate everything for the wedding, as you will know what to buy, and how to organize everything around your chosen theme. You will also know what to ask from your vendors specifically.
Choosing the theme for your wedding doesn’t mean that you have to choose country-style theme, beach or Arabian nights. Of course having one of those could be lot of fun, but having a simple color based wedding theme for your wedding is also enough. This will help you stand out from other 99% of weddings, and your guests will surely remember this great event.
By having a simple “color based” theme for your wedding, your guests will also know how to prepare themselves, and what to prepare for your wedding. Just make sure you inform them early enough.
Here are few ideas for color based themes:
- Summer – Blue, Gold and Yellow.
- Spring – Mint Green, Purple.
- Fall – Dark Green, Cinnamon.
- Winter – “Sea” blue, Navy Blue.
Even adding a few accessories to your wedding in these colors will create a nice touch to it. Try it.
And here are few examples of very specific themed wedding ideas:
- Medieval
- Country-style
- Arabian nights
- 1940′s “mafia”
These are just few examples for wedding themes to get some ideas. Use your imagination, and you will come up with many ideas. Don’t be afraid to try something new and original.
And remember that having an original wedding theme will bring good memories in later years for you, and your guests. You could possibly forget what was served for desert, but you will never forget the looks on the faces of your guests when you arrived on the back of a scooter.

My wedding is next winter, I’m planning to do “ice blue” theme color for it. Anyone has any experience with themed weddings?
U should try ice blue, will look awesome.
What we tried 2 yrs ago was a fairtytale theme. Official ceremony was all official n’ stuff, but the afterparty was with costumes. Felt like carnival haha.
I am delighted that I observed this site, just the right info that I was searching for!
After much discussion and persuasion we had settled for a color based theme. I got married in the summer and had chosen yellow as the theme color. I like yellow and hence the choice. The theme turned out to be unique and our guests appreciated our choice.
